Strengthening Our Students

What are our post-secondary students up to?
I recently attended the 15th Annual George Brown Mental Health Conference, which got me thinking- What are our other post-secondary students up to?

I pride myself on being an Ontarian, and couldn't be happier to see that $27 million dollars worth of Ontario's comprehensive Mental Health and Addictions Strategy funding has been invested in post-secondary mental health projects.

Check out what some of our neighbours are doing :

University of Toronto-By Students/For Students
"A Digital Gateway for mental health, a new digital platform will allow users to pinpoint services in their own area using a mobile device or computer"

Ryerson University- University Virtual Ward
"The university will work with Women's college Hospital to support hospitalized and suicidal post-secondary students by connecting them to appropriate community and post secondary services in their transition between hospital and post-secondary settings"

Ryerson- Speaking your Languages
"Local universities will work together to develop, test and share a model for collaboratively providing mental health services to international students"

York University Osgoode Law School- Enhancing the Mental Health Outcomes of Ontarios Law Students
"The project will develop best practices for helping with law students' mental health needs and develop and implement innovative mental health supports and resources for Ontarios 4,100 law students and future lawyers"
